If you need to buy something from Macy's this weekend and want to support veterans, the American Icons campaign is a win-win.

Today through Sunday, customers can donate $3 at any Macy's store or at macys.com to receive a 25 percent savings pass that you can use all day. The $3 goes to Got Your 6, which has partnered with the Macy's American Icons campaign for the past three years. More than $6.7 million has been raised in that time.

"Through that funding, Got Your 6 has given 35 grants to nonprofit partners," said Bill Rausch, executive director of Got Your 6.

The 6th Branch, where veterans help with community service, received a grant for urban greening projects in Baltimore. The team volunteered April 5 at the Oliver Community Farm, which was created by veterans in response to the lack of healthy food options for residents in the area.

"They've taken two vacant lots and turned it into a remarkable community garden," Rausch said.

Rausch said people are constantly asking how they can support veterans, and he said the American Icons campaign is an opportunity for everyone to get involved.

For those who can't shop at Macy's this weekend, there's another opportunity to give back in June. Macy's will host its first digital music festival via YouTube on June 2 at 8 p.m.

Macy's will donate $1, up to $100,000, for each view the video receives through June 19.

The concert, Macy's Summer Vibes, will spotlight emerging artists and directly benefit Got Your 6, said Holly Thomas, Macy's Group Vice President of Cause Marketing.
